The backs are routed out for the brackets but pre- drilled holes for the brackets are NOT included. You will simply need to drill out holes in the back of the product. The holes should correspond with the bracket location on the walls. This requires a 1\/2\" drill bit. When you upgrade to our Heavy Duty Floating Shelf Brackets, handcrafted in Pennsylvania, the holes are pre-drilled for an easy installation.\nWood coloring can change dramatically when finishes are applied. For example, we have many pine pieces that appear brown when oiled. We also have many that will look reddish when oiled. Yellow pine tends to end up more reddish, and white pine looks brownish but that is not always the case.
